Why This Site Exists
West Virginia makes many jail, court, and custody records available to the public, but the right office depends on where the person is in the process. Nicholas County does not operate a county-only jail roster. The county uses Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, which is run by the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation and serves several central West Virginia counties. State prison and parole records use a different WVDCR locator, while federal and immigration detainees are handled outside the county system.

Nicholas County Inmate Population is privately run. It is not part of the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department, Central Regional Jail, WVDCR, the West Virginia courts, or any local, state, or federal government agency.

- We cannot promise that every phone number, address, fee, search result, or schedule is current.
Only the public office that created or controls a record can verify current custody, charges, release, bond, or legal status.
